Re-affirming its initiative and commitment to continuously make its products and expertise known in the region, offer better services and customer experience as well as to empower other industry players to be similar “enabling service providers,” Globe Business recently participated in the Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies (APRICOT), a prestigious regional ICT event from February 24 to March 1, 2013 in Singapore.

Globe Business Product Manager and IP Peering Manager Achie Atienza represented the company  and presented during the conference’s peering forum, reintroducing Globe to the Global IP community, providing initiatives on Internet peering and interfacing with Asia Pacific Network Information Centre or APNIC’s hostmaster session. He noted that “we were able to achieve our objectives of broadening and strengthening our relationships and gaining insights from our global peers, further promoting the visibility of our company with its global peers as well as understanding and adopting best industry practices in the region.“

Atienza shared with conference attendees that Globe Business has been providing connectivity services for many years and as such, their customers can entrust their business connectivity requirements to the company as the Globe network is backed up by solid network experience and professional capabilities, allowing them to focus on growing their business while Globe supports their need for seamless connection and business continuity.

“We want to re-establish Globe as the better carrier in the Philippines, and we take part in this and other related events to equip, update and enable ourselves to be at par and even take lead in this side of the world,” Atienza said.

Held annually, APRICOT’s mission is to provide a forum for key internet builders in the region to learn from their peers and other leaders in the internet community around the world. The summit consists of seminars, workshops, tutorials, conference sessions, birds-of-a-feather gathering and other forums to spread and share knowledge required to operate the internet in Asia-Pacific.  Globe Business has taken active part in the Conference since its inception in 1996 by providing expert ICT knowledge within the region.
