TO HELP raise awareness for breast cancer, GT Cosmetics Manufacturing Inc. joins the global community in the observance of Pink October.

GT Cosmetics, to make its support for the cause official, is set to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with ICanServe Foundation Inc., the lead organizer in this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities.
After meeting with ICanServe past president Meh-An Alcordo-Solomon recently, GT Cosmetics has agreed to provide the Pink October organizers a supply of GT skin-care products to sell during their activities and keep the proceeds for the foundation.
The US packaging of GT Cosmetics beauty soaps will also be introduced locally in a press conference announcing GT’s strategic partnership with ICanServe and during the series of activities lined up for Pink October.
ICanServe, a national network of breast cancer survivors and supporters, has slated a variety of activities for the whole Pink October month, including lectures and seminars on breast cancer, a Moon Walk, and a Pink Run, among many other events aimed at increasing awareness of the disease and raising funds for research into its cause, prevention, treatment, and cure.
“This is our way of helping raise awareness and educate the Cebuanos further about breast cancer which has affected millions of people globally,” Engr. Leonora B. Salvane, GT Cosmetics founder and national sales manager, said.
Alcordo-Solomon, who is currently serving as the Advocacy and Collaboration co-chairperson of ICanServe, said the foundation is really blessed to be able to forge new partnerships every year.
“We get new partnerships every year, and this year ICanServe is inspired by our partnership with GT Cosmetics,” Alcordo-Solomon said. “We will make a huge dent on the lives of women with breast cancer this year together with our partners like GT.”
Alcordo-Solomon said she also hopes that loyal consumers of GT products from all over the Philippines will join in the fight against breast cancer.
Pink October, or the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is a yearly health campaign organized worldwide every October to raise awareness and offer information and support to those affected by the disease.
