Trueproperty.ph is 1st local startup co-founded by Kickstart and Pollenizer

  Out of 120 applicants from all over the country, three outstanding technopreneurs were selected to be co-founders of Trueproperty.ph, the first collaborative startup company owned by Philippine incubator Kickstart Ventures, Inc. and its Australian partner Pollenizer.

                Chosen to lead Trueproperty.ph were real estate sales expert William Pattison, technical guy Ashier de Leon, and web design and social marketing professional Karla Cachola.

Phil Morle, co-founder of Pollenizer said:  “Each of the 120 applicants was required to answer questions that explored comfort with risk, an excitement for opportunity and a just do it attitude.  From the number, 25 people were invited to a workshop where Kickstart and Pollenizer explored how innovative the teams were, how well they collaborated, and most importantly, their capacity to adapt and change as they learned.  From the 25, three were picked.”

                “Real estate is a genuine opportunity in many markets in the world: and as people everywhere have become more mobile and nomadic, as well as more conscious of the quality of their lives, then the requirement for a better system of finding the absolutely-right homebase becomes a more deeply felt need,” said Minette Navarrete, President of Kickstart.

She added:  “There are, of course, real estate listings in most markets, including the Philippines — for the most part, they do alright. However, there are customer segments that have more requirements, or needs that are defined differently. We believe that Trueproperty.ph meets this need and can create great value for all market participants including brokers, buyers and renters. Phil and I are thrilled to have found Karla, Ashier and Will — Trueproperty.ph’s three gutsy co-founders — and we are excited to see them building a fast-growing business for the global market!”

                Unlike the typical real estate websites, Trueproperty.ph does not only highlight the lifestyle details and features that really matter to buyers but also provides Google Map integration to show establishments, parks, transportation, and other landmarks that are available within a two-mile radius from the listed property.

“In the Philippines, there is a lack of community information which makes it hard to choose a suitable property. We make it simple to find a property that matches the lifestyle requirements of the client.  We aim to be the best and the biggest real estate website in the Philippines,” the team said.

                Trueproperty.ph also uses the latest web technologies which allow property listings to be integrated with SMS notifications for the brokers so that they could easily get in touch with interested parties who complete the inquiry form in the Trueproperty website.

Earlier, Kickstart Ventures, Inc., an incubator-accelerator firm wholly-owned by Globe Telecom, has entered into a partnership with its Australian counterpart Pollenizer to increase the chances of success of local technopreneurs by combining top talent, great ideas, and startup best practices.

           Pollenizer@Kickstart encouraged interested individuals to join a team that Kickstart and Pollenizer co-founded in order to address a well-researched problem with the Pollenizer@Kickstart  program providing a built-in funding runway, and a structured incubation process. 

                Each team member is considered a co-founder and receives an equity stake in the business that they form as well as a salary to meet month expenses.  Team members are expected to own the vision and execution for the business, with intense support, mentorship and guidance from Kickstart and Pollenizer. 

                The business will be given funding to sustain operations for at least one year.  Subsequent funding rounds, however, will be driven by the team, with ample support from Kickstart and Pollenizer including access to the two companies’ extensive investor networks.
