Globe Business was recently awarded with important ISO certifications for its data centers and Performance Management Center, which further validates the company’s position as a service provider adherent to international standards of quality and service.
The first was an ISO 20000-1:2011 IT Service Management System (ITSMS) certification released by AJA Registrar, Inc., an accredited and recognized certifying body in the Philippines, for four of its data center facilities in Mandaluyong City, Cebu City and Makati City, including the newly-expanded MK2 data center, for being state-of-the-art and IT secured sites for enterprise customers. The ITSMS Standard certificate of registration was released in January 2013, outlining requirements for the service provider which includes, design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to meet agreed service requirements of customers.
The ISO accreditation, along with three other global industry certifications within the past five years: ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System, ISO 27001:2005 for Information Security Management System and BS 25999:2007 for Business Continuity Management System, strengthens the Globe Business data centers’ assurance to customers that their service requirements will be fulfilled.
“These certifications are in-sync with our corporate philosophy of delighting our customers, ensuring that our Globe Business data centers operate effectively and efficiently. This will serve as our impetus to continuously improve their processes to meet evolving customer requirements and deliver quality service to its clients from various industry sectors: business process outsourcing, financials and banks, communications, manufacturing, retailing as well as government agencies,” said Globe Business Head of Customer Systems Harry Florendo.
Still in-line with the goal of delighting customers by implementing best practices and compliance to international standards, another conferment was received by Globe Business soon after: this time, an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) certification to the Performance Management Center under the Network Operations Center of Globe, which met internationally-accepted standards for quality by establishing sets of policies, processes and procedures required for organizational planning and execution that ensures achievement and enhancement of customer satisfaction.
The QMS certification of PMC, conducted by AJA Registrar, Inc., a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited certifying body, will warrant high availability of the company’s wireline core data network infrastructure through the implementation and operation of effective data network support and services. Such is also hinged on the same corporate objective of customer delighting through PMC’s implementation of continuous improvement, establishment of quality policies and objectives as well as regular reviews of processes and targets.
“Collectively, these quality initiatives as well as the PMC’s ISO certification will ensure our 24/7 data network support, its services are maintained and operated with our customers’ requirements and their satisfaction as paramount,” told Florendo.
He added that “these accreditations will impel us to implement best practices, compliance to international standards, and commitment to ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and implementation of globally-accepted processes.”
Late last year, the Professional Services Division of Globe Business also secured its own ISO 20000-1:2011 certification, assuring the company’s customers that all of its policies, processes and procedures are compliant to requirements of ISO 20000, the standard for an IT Service Management System which includes the design, transition, delivery and improvement of services which fulfill requirements and offer the best value for both the customer and the service provider.
Head of Globe Business Jesus Romero said that “our constant quest for improvement strengthens our customers and the various industries’ confidence in us to fulfill their IT requirements. Being aligned with and implementing global standards and internationally-accepted business practices, enterprises can rely on us to deliver the highest quality of corporate solutions, ably backed up by industry-certified services.”
