Primo Café and Grille Launches New Menu

PRIMO Café and Grille, one of Davao’s homegrown gems in the dining arena, is delighting their patrons and the public with a new menu this June 2015.

The Restaurant 



PRIMO Café and Grille was borne from the idea of a group of friends who wanted to have their own place to share their love for eating and having fun.

The word "PRIMO" is derived from the Spanish word 'cousin' or 'a close, familiar relative'. PRIMO (or 'prime' in English) also stands for "first in excellence, quality or value", "a state or time of greatest strength, vigor or success in a person's life".

PRIMO officially opened its doors on the 75th Anniversary of Davao's Charter Day on March 16, 2012. The celebration of the marking of the cityhood of a great city was an opportunity that PRIMO would not miss to open its doors to Davao's discerning diners.

The New Menu



Since PRIMO specializes in simple, stomach warming, gut-filling, familiar 'comfort food', the new is their biggest--and tastiest---project this year. With a healthy fusion of several international cuisines marrying the cozy Filipino palate, every dish is a welcome surprise to your taste buds. 










Some of the menu’s flagship dishes are the Sizzling Beef Tendon, Tuna Sashimi Diablo, Mushrooms and Chorizo, Shrimp Diavel Pasta, Grilled Cheese, Tomato and Basil Sandwich and the Seafood Supremo Pizza. Their old-school favourites, like the Crispy Pata, Sizzling Sisig and meaty burgers, are still faring very well through the years.

After a hearty meal, don’t forget to punctuate with one of Primo’s Waffle Desserts. Their collection of golden brown waffles also comes in joyful ensembles---Banaffle, Hazelnut and Banana Waffle and the Mango Jubilee Waffle.

If you want to talk price, Primo won’t disappoint you in that area as well. For anything lower than P500, you and your companion can share a hearty meal.

“As the Dabawenyo taste is becoming more sophisticated, we always do our best to deliver familiar tastes with whispers of exciting additions. We mix-and-match cuisines, extending our beverage menu, and rolled out new promos to give the new menu the cheer it needs,” shares Alex Tiaoqui, the restaurant’s General Manager.

Jollibee brings an extra sarap summer to Davao with the Jollitown Funtasy Land

Jollibee Kids Club members in Davao experienced an extra sarap summer as the Jollitown Funtasy Land caravan made its way down south at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang, Davao City on May 9, from 9AM-2PM and 3-8PM.

Jollibee prepared hours of fun for energetic young Davaoeños, who slid their way to an exciting experience at the Rainbow Slide and enjoyed bouncing around at the Jollibee House. Their adventure continued as they scaled new heights with the Dingdangdong Clingers and met magical characters at the Enchanted Maze.

Making the Jollitown Funtasy Land caravan even more unforgettable for Jollibee Kids Club members was getting a chance to showcase their talents. They sang to their heart’s content and made their own albums at Twirlie’s Music Studio and shared fun stories with Jollibee at the Jolliphone Booth. The little guests even got up close and personal with their favorite Jollitown friends and watched in awe as Hetty wowed during her Cheerleader Moves segment, Twirlie proved her star power during her Musical Fantasy piece, and Jollibee thrilled the crowd with show-stopping dance moves.

Talented young Davaoeños also trooped to the Jolly Beats Booth and participated in the dance booth, learning the steps to the famous “Dito, Masaya” song. They also captured meaningful memories with their loved ones at the various Jollitown-themed photo booths scattered around the venue.

There was also a Jollibee Kids Party booth that displayed just how fun and hassle-free it is to plan an exciting Jollibee party, especially with its newest 3D themes: the new Jollitown and The Jollibee Fun-tastic Factory. The first 100 moms and dads who visited the booth and confirmed their JKP bookings even received Jollibee gift certificates.

Apart from the fascinating attractions, Funtasy Land visitors and their families also purchased special Jollitown souvenirs to add to their collection. Guests were entitled also to a raffle entry and the kids took home a loot bag containing Jollibee goodies.

Sun Life Asset Management marks 15th anniversary Posts P47.7 Billion in managed assets

Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (SLAMCI) is marking a milestone this 2015 as it celebrates its 15th anniversary in the industry.
Currently the largest non-bank affiliated asset management company in the Philippines today with Php 47.7 Billion in assets under management (AUM) as of March 2015, SLAMCI has gone a long way since it started its operations in 2000 with three funds totaling just over Php 150 Million in AUM. It now manages eight funds collectively called the Sun Life Prosperity Funds: Bond Fund, Balanced Fund, Equity Fund, Money Market Fund, GS (government securities) Fund, Dollar Advantage Fund, Dollar Abundance Fund, and Dynamic Fund.
“We’re extremely proud of what our company has achieved in the past 15 years in serving the Filipinos, because it shows how we’re able to help bring them closer to achieving prosperity and financial security,” said SLAMCI President Valerie N. Pama.
SLAMCI has pioneered several firsts in the industry such as introducing the Money Market Fund with zero sales load, creating the first ever television commercial on mutual funds, holding financial planning sessions, and launching exciting investor promos year after year.
Today, the company continues to innovate and improve. Through its 2,515 financial advisors and 10 bank partners, SLAMCI’s number of clients has grown to 68,078 as of March 2015 – marking a 12% growth versus the previous year. In Cebu, AUM grew by 18% from 745.9M  to 877.9M as of March 2015.
SLAMCI also made a new record when it launched the Sun Life Prosperity Dynamic Fund last year, which generated Php 2.8 Billion in gross sales in only a month’s time. Meanwhile, as of March 2015, its Balanced Fund remains to be the largest mutual fund in the country.
The Sun Life Prosperity Funds marked considerable year-on-year returns, including the Philippine Equity Fund (18.37%), Balanced Fund (13.28%) and Dollar Abundance Fund (5.93%). The Dynamic Fund posted a 13.96% return from July 2014 (inception) to March 2015.
As it celebrates its 15th anniversary alongside the 120th anniversary of its parent company Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc., SLAMCI will be rolling out several initiatives in line with its mission of helping clients achieve prosperity. “Distribution channels are set to be expanded further, new products will be developed and launched in the market, more financial planning sessions and investment forums will be held, and the company’s digital presence and online capabilities will also be strengthened,” Pama shared.  
SLAMCI launched Invest for Rewards, wherein investors are rewarded with credits to top online merchants and exciting trips for two to The Farm at San Benito, Discovery Shores Boracay Osaka and Seoul.* The Company partnered with COL Financial, wherein five (5) of the Sun Life Prosperity Funds will be made available to internet-savvy investors.

SUN LIFE LAUNCHES PHIL STOCK INDEX FUND
